Pet stores have been rolling out the savings in these days leading up to Black Friday! If you’re like me and your pet is a giftee on your Christmas or holiday shopping list, read on to see a list of limited time opportunities you don’t want to miss.
PetSmart released to me an exclusive coupon for $15, which sparked my pet shopping. Then, Chewy emailed me with notification of 30%, 40%, and 50% off sales going on now. I remembered a $10 cashback Chewy deal if I use my Chase card AND Rakuten cashback and realized it was a great time to shop, especially considering how expensive my German Shepherd’s large breed dog food has become! Here are a few deal possibilities to be had:
ibotta has several cashback offers available on dog food, cat food, and pet treats, so don’t forget to add that cashback to your deal by snapping pictures of your receipt if you snag any of the below deals. If you’re shopping online, ibotta also offers 6% cashback with Chewy and 10% cashback with PetSmart. However, Rakuten is going all out lately, so if you’re an online shopper, you might want to rebate shop through them.
Chewy is offering several sales currently, even discounting some of their treats as deeply as 50% off. They also have toys at buy three get one free. My dog LOVES the Arm & Hammer Products Ora Play Denta-Saurus Mint Tough Dog Chew Toy which is regularly included in this deal. I purchased this and four other items in order to reach the $49 threshold of my cashback offer from Chase (this was the last day, but check your cards for pet retailer cashback deals because it is likely there are active ones available now). With each item discounted individually plus the Denta-Saurus being made free, plus reaching a free shipping threshold, plus earning 2% cashback by clicking through Rakuten, I will receive 5 new toys for my Shepherd for $53.49 plus earn $10 cashback from my card and $1.06 from Rakuten, bringing my total to $42.43, or less than $8.50/toy for 5 toys ranging from $9.49-$16.99 at original price.
PetSmart, in addition to its exclusive $15 off coupon, which I hope you receive, is now offering 15% cashback through Rakuten. They also have an offer for an additional 20% off online and several BOGO offers. Look around, you’ll likely find deals as great as the one I found at Chewy above. I plan to go here for my Hill’s Science Diet 33lb bag of dry food, usually priced at $78.99, but with 20% back, cashback at Rakuten, a $2 reward applied from my rewards account, free same day delivery and a free Hill’s treat offer, I will get this high-priced item plus bonus treat valued at $7.99 for a grand total of $70.98 after tipping my delivery dasher. I will earn 611 reward points toward my next purchase. I will earn $11.85 cashback from Rakuten, bringing my grand total to $60.34. With the prices these days, I’m thrilled whenever I can bring this price below $70, so this is a very good deal.
What deals for pets have you seen lately? I’d love to know what you find. Maybe I’ll end up spoiling my Espresso by stocking up on even more.
